Racial Profiling: Understanding the Practice of Stop-and-Frisk in New York City

Racial profiling has become a prominent issue in modern policing today. Instead of being based on individual suspicion, racial embodies belief that people color are continuously singled out by the police for scrutiny and harassment. Policies procedures make Black community vulnerable to discrimination profiling. Floyd et al. v. City New York (2013) declared Police Department’s (NYPD) practice stop-and-frisk was racially civilians. This study sought (1) determine if NYPD post-Floyd is still engaging towards civilians; (2) evaluate relationship between race number stops, frisks, arrests with T-test.
